Little Boys are repeatedly told – you’ll become a man when you get to be grown
So they search early for ways to act out and think … now this is the way – it should be
In pride they learn to piss on things much smaller than themselves, and practice on their own
But only on the ones they can easily reach, because they are also learning how to be lazy
Little Boys then learn to mistreat whatever that falls victim to their manly control
The guns and knives they get – are they not for intimidation, for killing, and acquiring prizes
To them life has no value – weakness has no place, and slowly the environment teaches their role
But they disregard ecology’s care, and learn substance abuse with all the veterans of surly vices

Little Boys are forced to accept the so-called role models in this life including their own Dad
Only to see the habit of treating women and children with scorn, and disrespectful ways
No one’s opinion counts other than the Great King of the Castle; whose fame is to get mad
But he is without a clue as to what to do; it’s his way or the highway and it is the only way he stays

Little Boys assume everything they see belongs to them, and it’s all just given by gift of God
There’s not a chance in hell that very many of them know aught about God and of moral living
They learn to take and scheme, to cut corners, to lie, to cheat, because none ever think it odd
That is what all men around do – they take to survive, and never learn the value of giving

Little boys foster little boys to rarely supply their need, or explain the why of simple rule
Watching television or a ballgame, or a sporting race seems better than hearing a child cry
Going to work to goof off or to play golf is better than helping with a project from their school
So with another drink to relax … as the man of the house … he can’t understand his family’s sigh

Little Boys – a man sees and champions the mistreated, and values life, to work on being grown
Little Boys – a man observes everything around, and handles it all with honesty, love, and care
Little Boys – a man takes responsibility and actually learns what the right is, and what is wrong
Little Boys – a man learns from God to know himself so that he may survive every life’s dare
