How’s one to dare the crossing in such difficult seam
considering the chance to get there from this surrealistic scene
Dangerous peril lurking ill-defined must inevitably barricade
this required advancement to the light – past the all and past the shade
The hints to safe passage profound and obscured in dreamlike display
remain silent to one determined to ignore the lessons and demands of the way
Sharp piercings the risk from two-edged flames burnishing the blade
hide cloud covered faces four and winged – past the all and past the shade
Comfort disguised in sure obedience yet revealed through companions sway
lift firmly the darkened gaze left staring midst accumulations’ day
The answer – before after – fully branched in leaf and yield displayed
ONE poised as spirit and rested as seven – past the all and past the shade
